Rising and Prodigiously talented Nigeria singer-songwriter signed to Mother Africa Reigns Supreme, Taves has rolled out his eagerly awaited project titled “Popstar – Side A.”
This project, which comes with eight impressive tracks blends Afrobeats, Afropop, and R&B, with each song showing a different side of his talent. It’s a well-made project that deserves a place in the playlist of every music lover who appreciates quality music.
Unlike many recent projects, “Popstar – Side A” does not feature any guest artists. Instead, taves takes the spotlight on all eight tracks, giving listeners the opportunity to enjoy his unique vocals, impressive songwriting, and versatility from the first song to the last.
The project also features the work of several highly skilled record producers. Arieenati produced tracks 1 (“Chaos”), 2 (“Isn’t It Beautiful”), 3 (“Simone”), and 5 (“Uche Jumbo”). Track 2 was co-produced by Alele Richard Seal Oroghene and Godomarr alongside Arieenati, while track 5 also received production support from Og Sterling and veteran Nigerian record producer Samklef. Skilled Nigerian record producer Spax handled the production of tracks 4 (“Deliver Me”) and 6 (“Preaching”), while Anoop D’Souza produced tracks 7 (“Space”) and 8 (“Take Me Away”).
